Like the Diddley Bow, the Canjo is very fun and easy to learn on. This one is made with an old toy Delivery Truck tin bank. The wheels actually turn, so they give this one a bit of a distorted vibratey sound when played which I think is cool. I made this Canjo with a pine neck which has no frets, but i marked where the frets would be, on the Diatonic scale (Like a Dulcimer). This scale uses only the whole notes and skips the sharps and flats, making it very simple to follow and learn any number of songs. Simply tune it to the tone you like and then find the notes to the song in your head, or find tabs for any song on Google and you're on your way. There are also lots of videos on you tube etc. You'll get the best sound with a slide which you can find easily online or at any music shop, and a pick which i will include with any purchase.
