Very fun and easy to play, the Diddley Bow (a one stringed guitar) is where Bo Diddley got his name and he and many others in his era learned on a homemade instrument like this. This one is made with a nice Camel Cigarette Tin and an advertising yardstick for a neck. It is an acoustic instrument which is fretted on the diatonic scale. Perfect to sit on the porch with and pluck a few tunes or start a kid in music and see how deep their interest goes without investing a lot of money. There are tons of videos on you tube etc out there making it easy and fun to learn to play.
